Home Based Water Production

Portland Window Cleaning is in a soft water area so we are able to utilize a deionized water system for the Water Fed Pole window cleaning system. Deionized water tanks contain mixed bed resin, which turns tap water into pure water. Resin will last at varied rates depending on the level of your totally dissolved solids (TDS). Window cleaning in Portland, we are sure to monitor the TDS levels with a meter. You want to be sure that your water is completely pure for use with your Water Fed Pole window cleaning system.

If you have a very hard water area, a deionized water system may not be the most efficient option. RO systems are practical, compact, and easy to install. Your water pressure and temperature may require you to purchase a booster pump to make the RO system work efficiently. It is imperative that you change the filters as well as the membranes at the top of your RO system regularly. Proper maintenance and care of your system will ensure clean windows for the residential or commercial window cleaner.

When you are shopping for water storage tanks for your window cleaning business, you can purchase them from a number of different sources. Large farms may have used tanks, as well as some do-it-yourself stores. If you are using your tanks for commercial window cleaning, you may need to purchase a larger tank. For residential window cleaning, a smaller tank may be enough. Some farm and ranch stores may have new or used tanks for purchase. If you opt to purchase a used tank, be sure to rinse the tank very well first with tap water and then several times with pure water to ensure for safe storage of your deionized water.
